A Young Perspective

I have been labeled arrogant, prideful, & judgmental for being vocal against the trends of emergent Pentecost. Fortunately I have been blessed to have a Father that raised me with a love for truth & skin thicker than a Rhino’s hide! In all reality those who are the arrogant & prideful punks are those with the audacity to toss aside things that are a core part of the doctrine that’s ingrained into who we are as Apostolic’s.

As I have traveled to many meetings & churches across this great nation, I have seen a growing trend where many are trying to create dynamic & cool, trendy productions. The trend of so called Pastors & Youth Pastors who’s focus is to prepare messages that have catchy titles & clever phrases combined with cool effects. These messages are usually taught by a casually dressed “minister” looking like the latest rock star on the cover of US magazine.

Paul spoke about this to Timothy:

2 Tim 4:3-4

3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

 

They toss aside separation & trade worship & prayer for fancy programs & trendy styles set by the mega churches & the trends of Hollywood.

What gives them the right to toss aside the things of the church that they never fought for, never shed one tear over, never battled one devil for, never put one stone in the foundation? Get back to an altar until you pray through & get your desires right! Quit living in just a form of Godliness.

These are the same who wonder why the miraculous isn’t as prevalent in Apostolic churches as it was 20 years ago. When you trade anointing for special effects, you get nothing but a social gathering & NOT a place of Holy Ghost deliverance.

Jeremiah spoke of these things in Jer 2:13: “For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water”

They have built for themselves fancy buildings, fancy websites, cool blogs, & catchy tweets. These are the platforms for spewing out their lying spirit as they tell everyone why Holiness, Separation, Godliness, Distinction of Gender & the voice of the man of God is no longer needed in your life!

This was also spoke about in God’s word in Jude.

Jude Vrs 18-19

18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.

19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, HAVING NOT the Spirit.

 

We need a generation of young people to rise up like Phinehas did when Israel was committing whoredom with the heathen nations & fight to stop the plague before we lose God’s favor & POWER in our churches!

I’m not interested in a church with a dried up future that’s filled with fancy production! We need old fashioned Holy Ghost revival that’s born from a red hot prayer meeting!

I am a 22yr old young man that REFUSES to get caught up in this new wave of so called Pentecost that’s sacrificing the power of God for catchy trends & dynamic productions. I am not interested in the next generation of the church being VOID of the anointing & glory of God!

If we don’t quit blurring the lines of distinction & quit seeing how close we can get to the world while still being saved, our churches will become places of entertainment & not a House of Prayer like God intended!

Come on young people, don’t fall prey to the deceitful silver tongued orations by those who have received a “revelation” that we don’t need the doctrine anymore. Eve, stay away from the tree & the snake won’t have the opportunity to convince you to take a bite!

Give me that “OLD TIME RELIGION” that was good enough for the Apostles, it was what it took to get saved in the Bible & it’s still what it takes to be saved today! It’s good enough for me!
